Wagashi are traditional Japanese confections crafted from plant-based ingredients like anko 餡子 (sweet red bean paste), and designed to visually reflect the beauty of nature and seasons. Nerikiri is a type of wagashi made out of sweetened white bean paste and glutinous rice flour. It is often served at tea ceremonies, but can also be eaten for a sweet snack!

This workshop will feature a live demonstration and hands-on instruction by Etsuko Kubota. Attendees will make and take two nerikiri. Registration is required and spaces are limited.
