Mochitsuki Workshop and Viewing

Mochitsuki 餅つき is a cherished New Year's tradition where communities gather at the end of the year to celebrate and welcome good fortune for the coming year. From steamed glutinous rice to a soft, stretchy treat, learn the traditional method of making mochi with Konko Mission of Wahiawa.

Registered participants will receive a hands-on mochi-pounding lesson followed by an opportunity to shape and take their own mochi. Fillings like azuki (red bean paste), strawberries, and more will be provided. Registration is required to participate. Spaces are limited. All sales final. No refunds. Check back soon for registration!

Viewing of the demonstration is open to the public, but viewers must stay outside of the workshop area.
